EHEIM Aquarium Plant Tong 60 cm

EHEIM’s Aquarium Plant Tong lets you place, move, or remove plants and decor at the bottom of the tank without rolling up your sleeves.

Our plant tongs enable you to work in your aquarium without having to roll up your sleeves. You can place, move or remove plants and other items in the bottom of the tank and even difficult to reach become accessible. Dead leaves or plant stems can be cut off in exactly the right place and removed from the water. The plant tongs are extremely useful for feeding bottom dwelling fish in a marine aquarium. There are two sizes with a length of either 40 or 60 cm.

Specifications

Length 60 cm. EHEIM article 3590000. The range has two lengths, 40 cm and 60 cm; this is the long one.

Packed size 71.9 × 10 × 5.5 cm — useful only in that it tells you the parcel is long and thin.

Water type: EHEIM tick freshwater and describe the tongs as particularly useful for feeding bottom-dwelling fish in a marine aquarium, so both are intended uses.

What EHEIM do not publish: the material, the tip profile and the weight. Their page carries none of the three. We would rather leave those blank than guess at them.

Which length you want is set by tank depth, not tank width. As a rule, you want the tongs to reach the substrate with your hand still clear of the water; 60 cm suits tanks around 45 cm deep and taller, and 40 cm is enough for most standard-height tanks.

Setup & Use

Planting. Grip the stem or the crown of the plant just above the roots, angle the tongs so the roots go in ahead of the plant, push into the substrate, then release and withdraw at the same angle. Pulling straight up on a closed pair of tongs is what lifts a freshly planted stem back out.

Trimming. The tongs let you take a dead leaf or a browning stem off exactly where you want it and carry it out of the water in one movement, rather than cutting it loose and then chasing it around the tank.

Feeding. They are genuinely good for placing food in front of a bottom-dwelling fish in a marine tank, where dropping it in from above just feeds the water column.

Moving things. Reach behind rock and wood, retrieve what falls, and place small pieces of hardscape without putting an arm into the tank — which is worth as much for the tank's stability as for your comfort.

Afterwards. Rinse in fresh water and dry them before they go away. Salt left on any tool is what ruins it. And keep tank tools for that tank if you are managing anything with a disease history.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
