Composition & Analysis

Acids is an amino acid supplement. PolypLab describe it as a blend of specific amino acids their research showed improve coral growth and coloration, with those that inhibit coral growth deliberately excluded — the selection is the product, not the concentration.

They do not name any of them. There is no amino acid list, no concentration by weight and no guaranteed analysis published for Acids anywhere, and we are not going to invent one. If a declared composition matters to you — for a comparison against another brand, or because you are already dosing amino acids from a second source — ask us and we will put it to the supplier.

Acids is not the same product as Colors. Both are amino acid supplements from PolypLab, but they are dosed a factor of four apart: one drop per 25 US gallons for Acids, one drop per 100 US gallons for Colors. Colors is the concentrate for ultra-low-nutrient systems; Acids is the one you run day to day. Do not swap the dose rates between them.

Feeding Guide

Dose: one drop per 25 US gallons (about 95 litres) of total system water volume, daily. That is the whole of PolypLab's published instruction for this product — there is no loading phase, no ramp and no weekly variant.

When: PolypLab publish no time-of-day instruction for Acids. They do give one for Plus (lights off) and one for Refuel (lights on), so the silence here looks deliberate rather than accidental.

Count system volume, not display volume — sump and refugium included.

On overdosing, and why it matters with any amino acid. PolypLab publish the warning on their Colors listing rather than this one, but it is a statement about amino acid concentration and not about a particular bottle: an excess has been shown to produce sudden algae blooms, and their instruction if that happens is to stop dosing for at least fourteen days before resuming. Treat that as the ceiling on this product too. More amino acid is not more colour.

Pack Size

50 ml. That is the only size PolypLab make Acids in — their store lists one variant, SKU PL6, with no larger bottle. It is the same 50 ml bottle that goes into their four-part System Reef-resh kit alongside Genesis and Plus at 50 ml each and Fuel at 500 ml.

No drop count is claimed here. PolypLab publish no drop volume and no bottle-life figure. At one drop per 95 litres per day this is a long-lived bottle on a single tank, but we are not going to put a number on it that PolypLab have not printed.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months' remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
