How to use BioTrace ?

Compatibility

BioTrace is the freshwater micronutrient ampoule — the food that keeps BioDigest’s bacteria working. Its marine equivalent is Bioptim, and the two are not interchangeable by tank type.

• Freshwater aquariums. Prodibio’s own line: BioTrace provides the BioDigest bacteria with the micronutrients needed to optimally purify fresh water.
• Works as one half of a pair. Prodibio’s bacteria (BioDigest) do the biological work; the micronutrient ampoule feeds them. Dosing the bacteria without the nutrients, or the nutrients without the bacteria, is only half the system Prodibio designed.
• Contents per Prodibio: selected amino acids, enzymes, natural vitamins including riboflavin, and a natural plant surface-active agent that improves absorption through cell membranes.
• Trace elements it supplies: sulphur for proteins, iron for plants and fish blood, cobalt for the B vitamins, boron for cell building, plus calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, molybdenum and potassium.
• It accelerates the digestion of organic matter, lowers biological oxygen demand and so raises redox, and helps clear the nitrate, phosphate and carbohydrate that precede an algae problem.

Prodibio size their ampoules by range rather than by bottle: Nano for aquariums up to 120 litres, Standard for 120 to 1,000 litres, and Pro above that. The ampoule is the same 1 ml either way — what changes is how much water one of them treats.

Pack Size

6 sealed glass ampoules of 1 ml. Prodibio’s published rate is one ampoule per 200 litres every 15 days.

• One box is 6 doses. In a 200-litre aquarium that is 6 treatments — roughly 12 weeks of maintenance at Prodibio’s schedule.
• Larger tanks use proportionally more ampoules per dose, so the box runs down faster: at 400 litres on the Standard rate you are using two ampoules each time, not one.
• Prodibio box BioTrace in 6 and 30 at Standard range, and 10 at Pro (one ampoule per 2,000 litres).
• Pair the count with your BioDigest: BioDigest reaches ten times further per ampoule, so a 6-pack of BioTrace will not last as long as a 6-pack of BioDigest on the same tank.

Prodibio supply this as sealed 1 ml glass ampoules. The glass is the point: it keeps the contents away from oxygen until the moment you use them. Shake the ampoule, put the cap over one tip and press with your thumb to snap it, then turn it open-end down just above the water, snap the other tip and pour.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
