- The flatworm exit will start to work in thirty minutes.

What's in the Box
One dropper bottle, 10 ml, containing approximately 300 drops. Salifert also state the dropper cap holds about 90 drops, so one capful treats 360 litres / 90 US gallons.
At Salifert's rate of 1 drop per 4 litres / 1 gallon, the bottle covers about 1,200 litres / 300 gallons of treatment in total.
What is not in the box, and what you must have ready before you open it. Salifert are explicit that the preparation matters more than the product, because it is the flatworms' body fluids — released as they die — that can harm a reef, not the treatment itself. Have all of this to hand first:
- Fresh, high-quality activated carbon — about 1 lb per 50 US gallons (roughly 450 g per 190 litres), and a canister or reactor with enough forced flow through it. This is what pulls the toxins out once the flatworms start dying.
- A siphon, to remove as many flatworms as possible before dosing, and to remove the dead ones during.
- A powerhead or turkey baster, to blow out crevices and other hiding places first — Salifert warn against underestimating how many are hidden.
- At least 25% of the tank volume as prepared water, ready for a change if it is needed.
Before dosing: turn off UV and ozone and remove the activated carbon from the system; leave the skimmer running. Turn UV or ozone back on after an hour or so. Dose into a high-flow area. Allow yourself the time to watch the tank for at least six hours afterwards — Salifert's own instruction is not to do this in a hurry.
Keep out of the reach of children. For aquarium hobby use only.
