Product Description

Flourish Iron is a highly concentrated (10,000 mg/L) ferrous iron (Fe ²) gluconate supplement. It should be used in those cases where the iron requirements exceed that which can be delivered by Flourish at the recommended dose or signs of iron deficiency appear (such as short and slender stems or yellowing between veins.) Contains no phosphate or nitrate.

Why It’s Different

Plants are able to much more easily derive a benefit from Flourish Iron than from EDTA-iron sources because all EDTA iron is in the ferric (Fe ³) state. Since plants require iron in the ferrous (Fe ²) state, additional physiological energy must be expended in order to extract the ferric iron from EDTA-iron and then convert it to the ferrous form.

Directions

Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 200 L (50 gallons*) or as required to maintain about 0.10 mg/L iron. For smaller doses please note that each cap thread is about 1 mL. Use as needed to combat signs of iron deficiency (usually seen in new growth) which include: chlorosis (yellowing) of tissue between veins and short and slender stems.

Compatibility

Freshwater planted tanks, and safe with shrimp and other invertebrates at the stated dose.

This is ferrous gluconate iron, which plants take up directly. If you test for iron, take the reading within about 30 minutes of dosing — after that the iron has been taken up or oxidised and the test will read low.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
