Tropic Marin’s ultra-concentrated mineral powder replenishes all key reef elements in one easy dose, simplifying water parameter maintenance for SPS and LPS tanks.
Features : Overall mineral supply for reef aquariums. Tropic Marin All-For-Reef Powder is an ultra-concentrated mineral blend, with which an easy-to-use, highly concentrated all-round solution for supplying all key minerals and trace elements in newly established and averaged reef aquariums is available after being dissolved in reverse osmosis water. Through the growth of organisms and other processes in the aquarium, minerals are consumed and must therefore be supplemented regularly. These include, in particular, the necessary elements calcium, magnesium and strontium, as well as carbonate hardeners for the growth of calcium carbonate skeletons in stony corals, lime red algae and other reef organisms. Tropic Marin All For Reef contains all of these components in a highly concentrated form. In addition, all essential trace elements are also included: Iodine, bromine and fluorine for the growth and strengthening of skeletons in horny corals, sponges and crabs; selenium for eliminating free radicals, and iron, manganese, zinc, copper, nickel, chromium, cobalt, molybdenum and vanadium for the development of important enzyme complexes. With these components and balanced in its concentration ratio, Tropic Marin All For Reef creates the best care conditions with just one solution. There are no additional compounds (e.g. sodium chloride) that alter the salinity or ion balance.
| • | Complete mineral supply in only one component |
| • | The most important trace elements are already included (all elements of the Tropic Marin K+ Elements & A– Elements) |
| • | No formation of by-products (e.g. sodium chloride); the salinity and the ion balance are not altered |
| • | No formation of excess carbon dioxide |
| • | Suitable for an aquarium stocked with soft corals, LPS, SPS, other filter feeders and/or crustaceans |
| • | Easy to apply – suitable both for manual dosing and for dosing pumps after dissolving |
Step one — make the solution. This is a powder concentrate, not a ready-to-dose liquid. Dissolve 6 level scoops (approximately 160 g) in about 900 ml of reverse osmosis water, which gives a total of 1 litre of dosing solution. Once the mineral mixture has dissolved, the solution is ready to use.
Step two — get the tank to target first. Before starting All-For-Reef as a supplement, Tropic Marin recommend bringing calcium, alkalinity and magnesium to your intended values — Original Balling Part A for calcium, Part B for alkalinity and Bio-Magnesium for magnesium. All-For-Reef is there to hold the numbers, not to make a large correction.
Step three — dose the solution.
Once the dose is settled, Tropic Marin suggest tracking calcium rather than alkalinity as the regulator, because ordinary test kits resolve a change in calcium more accurately than the corresponding change in alkalinity. Suitable for manual dosing and for dosing pumps.
Slight discolouration or turbidity can occur in All-For-Reef because of the raw material. Tropic Marin state the product can still be used without restriction.
15 kg commercial pack, article 26756. At Tropic Marin’s published make-up ratio of roughly 160 g per litre of finished solution, 15 kg makes in the region of 93 litres of dosing solution — a trade quantity, sized for a shop, a coral farm or a large multi-system setup rather than a single display tank.
For scale, Tropic Marin’s public container table lists the retail cans only: 800 g (article 26752), which they state makes 5 litres of dosing solution, and 1600 g (article 26754), which makes 10 litres. The 15 kg pack is a trade size and does not appear in that table, so the yield above is worked out from their own ratio rather than quoted from them.
Buy this size only if you will work through it. Tropic Marin’s storage instruction for the powder is to keep it closed, cool and dry and out of direct sunlight, so re-seal the pack after every make-up and mix in batches you will actually get through.
Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.
