Specifications

Type: passive surface skimmer, filter-driven, semicircular body

Inlet: self-floating, adjusts to the water level automatically

Flow: adjustable at the inlet valve

Drives from: hang-on filters and canister filters

Servicing: dismantles without tools for cleaning

Compatibility

It is not a pump. It has no motor of its own and must be driven by suction from a hang-on filter or a canister filter intake.

Made for small aquariums: the semicircular body sits flat against the glass and takes up very little tank space.

Safety & Precautions

Watch the water level. A skimmer intake that lifts clear of the surface makes the filter behind it suck air, and a filter running dry burns out its impeller.

Check the intake for small fish and shrimp before you first run it.

What’s in the Box

The skimmer body with its self-floating intake and mounting. No pump and no filter: it is driven by a filter you already have, and one is not included.
