TRITON Treatments have been developed to fix specific problems commonly faced by aquarists. Unlike many products on the market TRITON Treatments are quality controlled and free from contamination by unwanted / unknown elements.

Setup & Use

Rinse it first. TRITON are explicit that the carbon must be rinsed thoroughly with RO/DI water before use, because fine carbon dust irritates coral polyps. This is the step most often skipped and the one most likely to cause a problem.

• Dose: 100 ml of carbon per 100 litres of aquarium water.
• Option A: a mesh bag placed in a high-flow area.
• Option B: a media reactor, with the flow set slow enough that the carbon does not tumble. Tumbling grinds the granules against each other and puts the dust you just rinsed out back into the water.
• Replace every 4 to 6 weeks. Exhausted carbon stops adsorbing; it does not release what it holds, but it stops doing the job you fitted it for.

Activated carbon is also the second half of a TRITON DETOX treatment: DETOX binds copper and lead, and carbon is what removes the bound metals from the water. TRITON’s sequence there is to fit fresh carbon three days into the treatment and replace it again after a week.

The purity claim is the reason to care about the brand of something as generic as carbon: filtration media sits in the flow path for weeks, and anything it leaches goes into the tank the entire time.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Filter media and substrates carry no manufacturing or expiry date. Their working life begins on first contact with water, not on the shelf.

Backorder & Dispatch Timeline

This item is stocked to order. Back-orders are consolidated and placed with our overseas suppliers once a month, on the last day of the month, and all such orders are shipped before the 15th of the following month.

Back-orders cannot be cancelled once they have been placed with the supplier. If you cancel before that, payment-gateway charges of 2% plus GST are deducted and the balance refunded. In the rare case a supplier cannot fulfil the item, we will offer you an alternative first, and refund in full with no deduction if you would rather not take it.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
