STRESS ZYME adds beneficial bacteria to break down and consume organic matter to help keep the aquarium clean. The bacteria in STRESS ZYME is uniquely suited to consume aquarium sludge, and keep the gravel clean. Contains over 300 million live bacteria per teaspoonful. Breaks down organic compounds that cause dangerous conditions such as ammonia and nitrite poisoning and low oxygen levels. These bacteria improve the development of the biological filter and help clean a dirty aquarium. Making STRESS ZYME a part of regular care assures an active biological filter, cleaner aquarium, healthier fish and good water quality. No refrigeration necessary. For use in fresh and saltwater.

Dosage & Directions

• Weekly maintenance: 5 ml per 38 litres (API’s figure: 5 ml per 10 US gallons)
• New aquarium: double dose at startup, and keep doubling for a further two weeks

It goes in with the fish in the tank — nothing needs removing first.

API put over 300 million live bacteria in a teaspoonful. The job of those bacteria is digesting organic waste, sludge and uneaten food, which is a different job from the nitrifying bacteria that convert ammonia; it works alongside a cycled filter rather than replacing one. Freshwater and saltwater both.

Pack Size

237 ml (8 fl oz). At the weekly maintenance dose that is about 47 doses — roughly 1,800 litres of treated water, or close to a year of weekly dosing on a 38 litre tank.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
