Three flow settings, and cats have opinions. Catit give you a gentle flow, a bubbling top, and calm streams. This is the adjustment worth actually making: a cat that ignores the fountain on one setting will often drink happily on another, and it costs you nothing to try all three over a week.
Only filtered water reaches the surface. That is the point of the design: water drains down through the Triple Action Filter under the top cover, and the pump sends the filtered water back up. Your cat drinks what has been through the pad, not what is sitting in the reservoir.
3 litres is a lot for a fountain this size. Catit make the point themselves, and it matters in practice: it is the difference between topping up every couple of days and topping up daily. The water level window on the side tells you where you are without lifting the top.
Compatibility
The Flower Fountain filter is not the PIXI filter. They are different parts and the pads are not interchangeable. Order the Flower Fountain Triple Action Filter for this fountain.
The Triple Action Filter is a consumable, and Catit want it changed every 30 days. The pad is cotton mesh, active carbon and ion-exchange resin in three layers: the mesh catches hair and debris, the carbon takes out odours, and the resin softens the water by reducing calcium and magnesium. Catit's stated reason for the softening layer is that those minerals, taken in quantity, can accumulate in a cat's lower urinary tract. Running the fountain on a filter well past its month does not damage the pump; it just stops doing the job you bought it for.
Two mains versions exist, and the European one is the one that matches Indian supply. Catit publish the Flower Fountain range at 120 V ~ 60 Hz, 300 mA for North America and 230–240 V ~ 50 Hz, 300 mA for Europe, both 12 VA. Indian mains is 230 V at 50 Hz, so the European rating is the right one. Read the label on the transformer before you plug it in the first time; if the unit in front of you carries the 120 V North-American rating, do not power it up — contact us instead.
It is built to match the Catit Multi Feeder. Catit designed the two as a pair, so the food and water station reads as one set rather than two unrelated objects.
Setup & Use
Start on the gentle setting. Catit give you a gentle flow, a bubbling top, and calm streams. This is the adjustment worth actually making: a cat that ignores the fountain on one setting will often drink happily on another, and it costs you nothing to try all three over a week.
Strip and clean the pump, not just the bowl. Catit build the pump to come fully apart without tools, and on the Smart fountain they set the app to remind you every 60 days. Slime inside the impeller housing is what makes a quiet fountain start to buzz. Rinse the impeller and its chamber under running water — no detergent inside the pump — and put it back wet.
Safety & Precautions
Catit publish no safety panel for this product. Their product pages carry specifications and features and then point at a Help & Advice section; there is no warnings list for us to reproduce. What follows is our own guidance, and we are labelling it as ours rather than passing it off as the manufacturer's.
Never let it run dry. A fountain pump is water-cooled and water-lubricated; running one in an empty reservoir is the single most common way these fail. Catit's own protection against this is the auto-shutdown, which cuts the pump when the water is gone — treat it as a backstop, not a schedule.

Run a drip loop. Let the cable hang below the level of the socket before it rises to the plug, so water tracking down the lead drips off the bottom of the loop instead of running into the outlet. It costs nothing and it is the single most useful thing you can do with any powered appliance that sits next to water.
Unplug it before you take it apart. Every clean means lifting the top off and handling a wet pump. Pull the power first, every time, however quick the job looks.
Catit state the plastics are BPA-free. That is their claim about the material, not a licence to put it through a dishwasher — unless a part is specifically listed as dishwasher-safe below, wash it by hand in warm water and keep it away from the heated drying cycle, which is what warps this kind of moulding.

What's in the Box
Catit do not publish a pack-contents list for this product. The items below are the ones they name explicitly on the product page. If something you were expecting is not on this list, ask us before you order rather than assuming it is in the carton.
- The fountain: reservoir, top cover and flower centrepiece
- The submersible pump and its transformer
- One Catit Triple Action Filter, fitted
Replacement filters are bought separately. If you need the fountain to arrive with a spare, add one to the order rather than assuming the carton has two.
