D-D Jumpguard Brace Bar Set

This D-D Jumpguard Brace Bar Set reinforces larger aquarium cutout frames, preserving structural integrity and preventing edges from pulling.

For larger aquariums or whenever fitting a cutout set we recommend installation of one or more brace bars to retain the structural integrity of the frame and to stop the outer edges from pulling in together.

Each kit includes:

• 2 x 900mm x 12mm x 8mm brace bars.
• 2 x T piece connectors.
• 6 x connector clips.

Setup & Use

When you need it. D-D recommend one or more brace bars on larger aquariums, and on any frame where you have fitted a cut-out set. Cutting into the square shape reduces its rigidity; the brace is what stops the outer edges pulling in towards each other and the mesh going slack.

Two ways to mount it. The T section connects two lengths of aluminium frame end to end and fixes the position of the cross brace at that joint — the method D-D use on the 120 × 75 and 180 × 90 kits, where a long side is made from two pieces. The plastic clips are the alternative and work on any model: they can sit anywhere along the frame.

Order of work matters. The brace clips are inserted into the frame before the spline material goes in. Decide where the braces go while the frame is still bare — once the mesh is splined, adding a clip means pulling the spline back out.

The bars are supplied at 900 mm and cut to length with a hacksaw like the rest of the frame.

Two braces, and both ways of mounting them: the T pieces join two lengths of frame and fix the brace position at the joint, while the clips let a brace land anywhere along an uncut length.

Backorder & Dispatch Timeline

This item is stocked to order. Back-orders are consolidated and placed with our overseas suppliers once a month, on the last day of the month, and all such orders are shipped before the 15th of the following month.

Back-orders cannot be cancelled once they have been placed with the supplier. If you cancel before that, payment-gateway charges of 2% plus GST are deducted and the balance refunded. In the rare case a supplier cannot fulfil the item, we will offer you an alternative first, and refund in full with no deduction if you would rather not take it.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
