D-D Jumpguard Flexi Cut Out Set

The D-D Jumpguard Flexi Cut Out Set lets you modify your jump guard frame around overflow boxes, light brackets, or cables with standard and reverse corners.

The Jumpguard Flexi-cutout Set provides you with 2 standard corners and 2 reverse corners to allow you to modify the frame around any larger overflow boxes, light brackets, cables or pipework etc, that would not be covered by the Multi-Cutout Set.

Each kit contains:

• 1 pair of standard corners.
• 1 pair of reverse corners.

Note:

Cutting into the standard square frame, especially on larger frames, will generally reduce the rigidity and we would recommend installing one of one or more cross braces, as required, to retain the structural integrity.

The difference between the two cut-out sets is the size of the obstruction, not the shape. The Multi set has fixed offsets of 15 mm and 40 mm and a 40 × 120 mm rectangular part; this one is built from plain corners, so the notch can be any size you cut the frame sections to. That is what makes it the answer for an overflow box.

D-D publish no dimensions for the corners themselves.

Setup & Use

What it is for. Notching the frame around something large: an overflow box, a standpipe, a return manifold. The two reverse corners turn the frame back on itself, and the two standard corners bring it out again, so the cover can run in and around an obstruction and still close on the glass.

Sequence. Measure and dry-assemble the main frame first, sit it on the tank, and mark where the obstruction actually falls. Cut with a hacksaw, straight across, with tape wrapped round the cut line as D-D advise. Push the corners home — they need a firm push to seat fully — and re-fit to the tank before you go anywhere near the mesh.

Cutting the frame costs you rigidity. D-D are explicit about this: notching the standard square frame — especially on a large one — reduces its stiffness, and one or more cross braces should go in to hold the shape. Without them the long sides pull inwards and the mesh goes slack.

The brace fits either on a T section (supplied with the 120 × 75 and 180 × 90 kits) or on the plastic brace clips that come with every model. The clips are inserted into the frame before the spline goes in and can sit anywhere along the length — so decide where the brace goes before you start rolling mesh.

D-D's own contents list:

Note that this set contains corners only. The aluminium frame section to make the notch from comes out of your JumpGuard kit, so plan the cut-out before you cut the main frame to length — there is no spare extrusion in the box.

Backorder & Dispatch Timeline

This item is stocked to order. Back-orders are consolidated and placed with our overseas suppliers once a month, on the last day of the month, and all such orders are shipped before the 15th of the following month.

Back-orders cannot be cancelled once they have been placed with the supplier. If you cancel before that, payment-gateway charges of 2% plus GST are deducted and the balance refunded. In the rare case a supplier cannot fulfil the item, we will offer you an alternative first, and refund in full with no deduction if you would rather not take it.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
