EHEIM Substrat Pro 5 Litre
Optimized bio-filter medium with perfect volume usage, long intervals between cleaning and top decomposition performance. SUBSTRAT pro consists of pearl-shaped sintered glass. The spherical shape gives a high bulk density. Thus the whole of the volume in the filter (filter baskets or modules) can be utilized. Also the optimum surface of the beads provides intensive colonization of the important purification bacteria. Due to the high number of bacteria, peak nitrite loads are more easily reduced and the maintenance intervals of the filter material are longer. EHEIM SUBSTRAT pro is suitable for fresh and marine water, is washable and can be reused.

Tip: Never clean or change all the filter media together in one operation (and never clean too rigorously). The bacteria cultures must not be completely destroyed, otherwise re-colonization will be retarded. The filter baskets in the external filters and filter modules in the internal filters aqua-ball and biopower are ideal for partial cleaning.

BEST PRODUCT FOR MY AQUIRIUM
Looks like cereal. Good consistent size. Will need to clean carefully as it is dusty.
The Eheim brand is top of the notch. Nothing to doubt about
It is a porous biological media in round bead shape, ideal for small hang on the back or internal filter to maximize the filtration capacity. I’m using this in sunsun hbl 803 and shiruba xb 305. Hope this is going to last long.
