Setup & Use

The grooved base is the whole idea. The mother sits in the upper compartment; the fry, as they are born, fall through the grooves into the lower one, where she cannot reach them. That solves the problem every livebearer keeper meets — a mother who eats her own fry within the hour.

Float it or stick it, but keep the water exchanging. The floating position keeps the case at the tank's own temperature, which is exactly what you want; the suction pad holds it at a fixed height, which is easier to feed into. Either way, water has to move through it, or you are keeping fry in a small volume of increasingly stale water.

Connect an air pump if you are leaving fish in for more than a few hours. ISTA build the connection in for a reason. A gentle stream is enough — strong aeration in a small box exhausts fry.

Take the mother out promptly once she has finished. A breeding case is not somewhere to leave an adult fish; it is a small, bare box, and a confined fish is a stressed one.

Then take the base out. ISTA design it so the bottom section comes apart and the fry drop down into the tank — which is how you release a batch without netting them individually. Do that only when the fry are big enough not to be eaten, or move them to a grow-out tank instead.

Feed lightly and often, and siphon the bottom. Fry food in a small box fouls the water fast. A turkey baster and a small container of tank water does the job in seconds.

Feeding holes are not a lid substitute. They let you drop food in without opening the case; they do not stop a determined adult jumping in from the tank side.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
