Compatibility

Tank coverage, from MicMol, for the FELIX 600: length 60 cm (24 in) minimum to 80 cm (31.5 in) maximum, width up to 45 cm (18 in). The fixture itself is 58 cm long, so it sits neatly inside a 60 cm tank and stretches to an 80 cm one with the light falling off toward the ends.

If your tank is longer, MicMol make the same fixture in FELIX 900 (88 cm, rated 90–100 cm tanks) and FELIX 1200 (118 cm). Ask us rather than stretching a 600 over a tank it cannot cover.

This is the planted version. The channels are white, blue, green and red — a WRGB mix aimed at plant growth and colour rendition. MicMol also build FELIX in a marine spectrum (royal blue, deep blue and UV) for reef tanks. The housings are identical and the model numbers are the same, so confirm the version, not just the size.

App and control: the free iMicMol app over Bluetooth — iPhone, iPad, iOS and Android, from the App Store and Google Play. Two modes, Auto and Manual, across all four channels, plus lunar, cloud and lightning effects. This fixture is controlled from the phone; there is no separate physical controller in the way the THOR and Aqua Air ranges have one.

Mounting: the adjustable bracket is the standard fitting. MicMol list a rotating bracket as an option on this range.

Not compatible with the Pro Stand or the Aqua Air hanging kit — those are made for the Aqua Air fixtures, which are a different shape.

Safety & Precautions

Water ingress — please read this one. MicMol’s current published rating for the FELIX range is IP62, which means dust-protected and resistant to dripping water. It does not mean submersible. The description above carries an IP67 figure and a line about putting the light in the water; that comes from an earlier revision of this fixture, and MicMol’s standing instruction in every current manual is the opposite. Treat this light as splash-resistant and keep it above the waterline. If the exact revision matters to you, message us on WhatsApp before ordering and we will check the unit in stock.

Never put the light or the controller in the water. MicMol print this as a warning in every manual: doing so is dangerous and will damage the light.

Connect every cable before you plug into the mains. Powering up a half-connected fixture will damage it. Never force a connector into a port.

Do not touch the body while it is running. It generates heat in normal use and will be uncomfortably hot to the hand.

Mount the power supply where it cannot get wet, and never let the power cord hang into the tank while it is connected.

Use a drip loop. MicMol are specific about this: leave a loop of cord hanging below the level of the socket, so that water running down the cable from the tank drips onto the floor instead of into the outlet. The loop must always sit lower than the socket.

If the plug or the socket does get wet, do not touch the cord. Switch off at the fuse or breaker first.

Before moving it, shut the light down and disconnect every cable and cord.

Cleaning: shut down and unplug first, then wipe the outside with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth. Keep moisture out of the openings, never spray liquid directly onto the fixture, and do not use aerosol sprays, solvents or abrasives — they will damage the finish.

Storage: if it is going away for a long period, keep it somewhere cool — MicMol suggest around 22 °C.

Warranty: MicMol warrant their products free from manufacturing defects for one year from the original purchase date when bought through an authorised retailer. Misuse, neglect, alteration, improper handling, transport, maintenance or installation, and physical damage, are excluded. A purchase receipt is required.

Warranty & Support

This product carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase, covering material and manufacturing defects.

Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first — most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
