How to use Iodi ?

Compatibility

Iodi+ supplies the iodine hard corals need for growth and colour, and helps them adapt to changes in lighting. In a closed reef tank there is no ocean current replacing what gets used up.

• Particularly recommended by Prodibio for Xenia, Anthelia, Clavularia and corallimorphs.
• Iodine is consumed fast in a closed system — Prodibio point out that the skimmer, activated carbon, the filter and the coralline algae all remove it, on top of what the invertebrates use.
• Also used as a response to bleaching: it neutralises the excess oxygen zooxanthellae produce under strong lighting.
• Marine reef aquariums. This is a reef supplement and has no use in a freshwater tank.
• Dosed on Prodibio’s 15-day cycle: Nano one ampoule per 60 litres, Standard one per 200 litres, Pro one per 2,000 litres.
• Sits alongside the rest of the Prodibio reef range and alongside any other calcium and alkalinity system you already run — it corrects one thing and supplies nothing else.

Prodibio size their ampoules by range rather than by bottle: Nano for aquariums up to 120 litres, Standard for 120 to 1,000 litres, and Pro above that. The ampoule is the same 1 ml either way — what changes is how much water one of them treats.

Pack Size

6 sealed glass ampoules of 1 ml. Prodibio’s published rate is one ampoule per 200 litres every 15 days.

• One box is 6 doses. In a 200-litre aquarium that is 6 treatments — roughly 12 weeks of maintenance at Prodibio’s schedule.
• Larger tanks use proportionally more ampoules per dose, so the box runs down faster: at 400 litres on the Standard rate you are using two ampoules each time, not one.
• This is the Standard-range pack. Prodibio also make Iodi+ as a Nano blister of 4 (one ampoule per 60 litres) and a Pro box of 10 (one per 2,000 litres).

Prodibio supply this as sealed 1 ml glass ampoules. The glass is the point: it keeps the contents away from oxygen until the moment you use them. Shake the ampoule, put the cap over one tip and press with your thumb to snap it, then turn it open-end down just above the water, snap the other tip and pour.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
