Most biological cycling products only provide the bacteria that convert toxic waste products to nitrate. Red Seas Reef Mature Pro Kit completes the biological maturation process by establishing thriving colonies of anoxic (de-nitrifying and phosphate harboring) bacteria as well as ensuring the necessary conditions that will promote the growth of coralline algae and other micro fauna found in live rock and within a sand bed.

Red Seas Reef Mature Pro Kit includes:

• Nitro Bac A concentrated blend of nitrifying and de-nitrifying bacteria spores to seed the live rocks, substrate and the bio-media in a new tank.
  
• Bacto-Start A balanced blend of nitrogen and phosphorus components that simulate the natural waste products of an active aquarium, enabling a controlled development of the aerobic and anoxic bacteria.
  
• NO₃: PO₄-X A unique complex of carbons and other organic bonded elements that are used by anoxic bacteria for the accurate control of algae nutrient (nitrate and phosphate) levels. Prevents nuisance algae and enables control of zooxanthellae for optimum coral growth and coloration
• KH Coralline Gro A concentrated marine buffer complex of carbonate buffers & potassium, fortified with the specific minor and trace elements,such as iron, that promote the growth of coralline algae and other beneficial micro-fauna.

How to Use

This is a maturation programme rather than a bottle of bacteria. Most cycling products only establish the bacteria that turn ammonia into nitrate; this one goes on to establish the anoxic denitrifying and phosphate-harbouring colonies as well, and to create the conditions coralline algae and the rest of the microfauna need.

The four bottles do four different jobs and go in on the schedule in the manual, not all at once. Nitro Bac supplies the nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria spores. Bacto-Start supplies the balanced nitrogen and phosphorus those bacteria need to multiply. NO3:PO4-X drives the nitrate and phosphate down once nitrification is running. KH Coralline Gro holds the alkalinity up and supplies the trace elements coralline algae need.

Red Sea's published rates are 20 ml of Nitro Bac, 10 ml of Bacto-Start and 3 ml of NO3:PO4-X per 100 litres, with KH Coralline Gro dosed to the label. Run the programme to its end — about three weeks — and test as you go rather than stocking to a calendar.

Do not run a UV steriliser or heavy chemical filtration while the colonies are establishing; both work against what you are trying to build.

Tests per Kit

None. This is a supplement kit, not a test kit — four bottles of treatment, an instruction manual and a syringe.

The programme is run against test results, so you do need tests: Red Sea intend it to be used with their Marine Care Multi Test Kit, which covers the parameters that matter during maturation. Some retailers list this product with 'Test Kit' in the name, which is where the confusion comes from.

Red Sea rate the kit for aquariums up to 250 litres / 65 US gallons. A larger system needs proportionally more.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months' remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
