Reef Enhance provides a convenient way to feed and enhance your reef with real live microplankton. Reef Enhance is great for supplementing the diets of hard and soft corals, mushrooms, and other filter-feeding organisms, while also stimulating feeding and reproduction of other food organisms such as copepods. Reef Enhance is a natural bacterial supplement that activates when added to water, and enhances results when used alongside other popular reef foods such as Reef Chili.

Directions

• Feed 1 scoop per 25 gallons
• For best results, mix with a few ounces of aquarium water 25-30 minutes before adding to aquarium.

What Reef Brite publish, in full: a minimum of 4 billion colony-forming units per gram of marine microbes, in a carrier chosen to help them excyst and adhere.

That is the entire declaration, and it is worth understanding why there is no protein and fat table on this jar. Reef Enhance is not a milled food. It is an aggregate of microbial spores that, added to aquarium water, cling to organic and inorganic matter and create live marine snow — the drifting aggregate that filter feeders on a real reef eat. The active figure is therefore a bacterial count, not a nutritional analysis.

‘Encysted upon drying’ is the whole trick. Reef Brite’s point is that you are not paying to ship water. The microbes are dried into cysts, which are far more stable than a liquid culture and last up to two years refrigerated. It is also why the directions ask you to rehydrate the powder in a cup of tank water for 20 to 30 minutes before dosing — that soak is what wakes them up.

All natural, no preservatives, not frozen and not dried plankton. Reef Brite are specific that this is not a dried plankton product; the plankton is created in your tank rather than sold to you in a jar.

What it is not. Reef Brite publish no species list for Reef Enhance — unlike their Live Rock Enhance, where they name Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis. We are not going to carry one product’s species list across to the other.

Pack Size

2 fl oz — about 57 ml — with a measuring scoop included. One jar, one scoop; there is nothing else in the box.

How far it goes. Reef Brite publish no coverage figure for Reef Enhance, so here is our arithmetic rather than theirs. The dose is one level scoop per 25 gallons (about 95 litres), three times a week, or one teaspoon — roughly four scoops — per 100 gallons (about 380 litres). Their identically-sized Live Rock Enhance jar is rated at approximately 2,000 gallons total, which works out at about 80 scoops per jar. On the same jar and the same scoop, a 200 litre reef needs about two scoops a dose, three times a week, so a jar is in the region of three months. Treat that as an estimate, because it comes from our sums and not from Reef Brite’s label.

Feeding rate, for reference: one scoop per 25 gallons, three times a week or as needed; half a scoop on a 10–15 gallon nano. Mix it into a few ounces of tank water 25 to 30 minutes ahead, stirring every ten minutes, then pour it into a high-flow area so it disperses.

Storage. Reef Brite’s own instruction is to keep it in a cool, dry place, and they add that refrigeration is what gives the dry cysts their long life — up to two years refrigerated. In an Indian summer, the fridge is not optional advice; it is the difference between a live culture and an expensive powder. Keep the lid on tight and never put a wet scoop back in the jar.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
