Malawi Victoria Buffer is a blend of carbonate salts designed to enhance the natural environment of cichlids by increasing carbonate hardness, buffer capacity, and pH. It is formulated to maintain a pH of 7.8–8.4. For optimum replication of the Malawi Victoria Lake environment, use with Cichlid Lake Salt, Cichlid Trace and NutriDiet Cichlid Flakes.

Compatibility

Freshwater, for Lake Malawi and Lake Victoria cichlids. It holds pH between 7.8 and 8.4 and raises carbonate hardness without touching general hardness — Cichlid Lake Salt is what raises GH.

Designed around RO or RO/DI water; hard tap water will read higher than expected. For a higher pH use Tanganyika Buffer, for a lower one Acid Buffer.

Dosage & Directions

Use 6 g (one level teaspoon) for every 40–80 L (10–20 US gallons) each day until the pH settles, then typically no more than once every two to three weeks.

Dissolve it in fresh water first and add it at setup or with a water change, after the Cichlid Lake Salt.

Keep the container closed and dry. These powders take up moisture from the air, and a caked tub doses inaccurately.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months' remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
