ParaGuard is the only fish and filter safe aldehyde based (10% by weight) parasite control product available (for parasites on fish). Unlike highly toxic and difficult to use formalin based medications, ParaGuard contains no formaldehyde or methanol and will not alter pH. ParaGuard employs a proprietary, synergistic blend of aldehydes, malachite green, and fish protective polymers that effectively and efficiently eradicates many ectoparasites (e.g. ich, etc.) and external fungal/bacterial/viral lesions (e.g., fin rot). It is particularly useful in hospital and receiving tanks for new fish and whenever new fish are introduced to a community tank.

Compatibility

Freshwater and marine, and safe with the biofilter and with plants.

Not safe with invertebrates — shrimp, snails, corals and other inverts must be moved out before treatment. Remove chemical filtration (carbon, Purigen) while dosing, and switch UV and ozone off.

Dosage & Directions

Use 5 mL for every 40 L (10 US gallons) daily, dosed into a high-flow area. Typical courses:

• Ich (white spot): 14 days in fresh water, 28 days in salt water
• Velvet: 14–21 days
• Fin rot: 7 days
• Flukes: 14 days

Finish the course even after the visible signs go — stopping early is the commonest reason a parasite comes back.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months' remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
