Pristine uses bio-augmentation, a non-chemical and natural method, to improve water quality. It provides bacteria that break down excess food, waste and detritus in freshwater and marine systems. It will also reduce excess nutrients (e.g. ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites) that may fuel the growth of nuisance and disease-causing organisms. Pristine increases water clarity and promotes overall better health for the aquatic environment.

The bacteria species in Pristine thrive in fresh or salt water and can utilize a wide range of organic compounds, including fats that can cause unsightly films. Unlike traditional nitrifying bacteria, this bacterial blend can adapt to harsh or low oxygen environments and continue to multiply and improve water conditions. Bio-polymers produced by established bacterial colonies trap particulates and increase water clarity.

Compatibility

What it is. Not a fertiliser: a bacterial/enzyme-based water conditioner. Seachem states it manages organic waste through bio-augmentation: it breaks down sludge, detritus and the fats that cause surface film, improves water clarity, and reduces ammonia, nitrite and nitrate as part of that process. It’s formulated for both marine and freshwater systems.

What’s in it. A blend of bacterial strains Seachem selected for hardiness and environmental adaptability: the company doesn’t publish the individual species or enzyme names.

Compatibility. Turn off UV sterilisation and ozone while dosing, and give the bacteria 2 to 3 days to establish before switching UV or ozone back on. If the tank has had antibiotics, remove them with carbon and a water change first.

Dosage & Directions

Starting dose. 1 capful (5 ml) per 40 L (10 US gallons).

Maintenance dose. 1 capful (5 ml) per 80 L (20 US gallons), after adding livestock or whenever the biofilter has been disrupted.

Shelf life. Seachem states 6 years from the date of manufacture.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
