The Bag is an innovative welded filter bag with a durable non-stitched seam. It has a 180 micron mesh, is resistant to bleach, caustics, and acids, and comes with a convenient resealable locking closure. It is available in a convenient 5 inch x 9.5 inch size. It is ideal for all filtration products and has an exceptionally long life.

Unlike stitched seams, welded seams are not subject to degradation from exposure to bleach, caustics, acids, or other harsh environmental exposure likely to take place during regeneration of filter media. Caution should be exercised, however, to avoid overfilling or over-packing as welded seams can be forced to separate by excessive pulling forces.

Specifications

A 180-micron superfine mesh filter bag, 5 × 9.5 in (13 × 25.5 cm), holding about 500 mL of media.

Welded seams rather than stitched, resistant to bleach, caustics and acids, with a resealable locking closure. The 180-micron mesh is fine enough to hold Purigen and the other fine Seachem media.

Setup & Use

Put the media in, close the locking seal, and place the bag where water is driven through it rather than past it.

Do not over-pack it. Media needs to sit loosely enough for water to move around it, and an over-stuffed bag puts enough strain on the welded seams to open them.

Because the seams are welded rather than stitched, the bag survives the bleach, caustic and acid soaks used to regenerate Purigen and similar media, so it can be regenerated with the media still inside it.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Filter media and substrates carry no manufacturing or expiry date — their working life begins on first contact with water, not on the shelf.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
