The TRITON macro and trace element supplements range is supported by over a decade of scientific research into the chemistry of natural and closed system seawater.

Compatibility

Chromium is one of the three elements TRITON reserve for advanced users. They associate it with skeletal calcification and natural coral pigmentation.

• Marine reef aquariums only. This is a seawater supplement and has no application in a freshwater tank.
• Runs alongside whatever supplies your calcium and alkalinity — Core7 Flex, TRITON Balling salts, a calcium reactor, two-part or kalkwasser. It corrects one element and contributes no calcium, alkalinity or magnesium of its own.
• TRITON place it at Advanced skill level in their own classification of the range.
• At correct dosing levels chromium should not appear in your ICP-OES results at all. If it does, that is the signal to stop.
• TRITON offer dosage guidance through their own support address for keepers working with this element.
• If you are not confident managing an element at this level, TRITON’s own alternative is their personalised monthly trace mix, where the advanced elements are blended and dosed by their lab.

TRITON classify chromium as extremely dangerous if dosed incorrectly, for advanced users only.

Dosage & Directions

TRITON’s published rate is 1 ml per 1,000 litres of aquarium water.

• The dose can be repeated to a maximum of three times, 1 ml per 1,000 litres each time.
• If chromium appears in an ICP-OES analysis at any level, stop dosing immediately.
• Test with ICP-OES regularly rather than dosing on a schedule.

Add it to an area with good water flow, and leave about five minutes between adjusting one element and adjusting another — TRITON’s own handling guidance for the range. Check that the tank volume recorded in your TRITON Aquarium Profile is right before you dose against it.

Everything beyond that comes from your own analysis. TRITON publish no general dosing schedule for the single-element supplements: the working dose is printed on the DOSE tab of your ICP-OES result. Dosing a single element blind is how a reef tank acquires an imbalance harder to fix than the one it started with.

Pack Size

A 100 ml bottle. TRITON’s current product page does not print a pack format for chromium; 100 ml is what we stock and what we ship.

Measure it with a syringe rather than a bottle cap — our advice, not TRITON’s. The doses in this range are millilitres against hundreds of litres of water, and a cap is not an instrument.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Backorder & Dispatch Timeline

This item is stocked to order. Back-orders are consolidated and placed with our overseas suppliers once a month, on the last day of the month, and all such orders are shipped before the 15th of the following month.

Back-orders cannot be cancelled once they have been placed with the supplier. If you cancel before that, payment-gateway charges of 2% plus GST are deducted and the balance refunded. In the rare case a supplier cannot fulfil the item, we will offer you an alternative first, and refund in full with no deduction if you would rather not take it.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
