Compatibility

P Alpha is the phosphorus supplement for a reef aquarium without cyanobacteria or nuisance algae. TRITON use the same Alpha/Beta split for phosphorus as for nitrogen, and the deciding factor is the same one: the biological condition of the tank, not the chemistry.

• Use it when phosphorus is confirmed low and the system is clean of cyano and algae. If either is present, P Beta is the version formulated for that case.
• The symptoms it addresses are coral colour loss, tissue recession and ultra-low PO4 readings on an ICP-OES analysis. TRITON note that phosphorus deficiency limits growth and weakens skeletal structure, particularly in SPS-dominant systems.
• Optimised for the TRITON Ratio and intended to be run with ICP-OES and N-DOC monitoring.
• Marine reef aquariums only.

TRITON’s Organics line is designed to be dosed against an N-DOC analysis, which measures inorganic carbon, organic carbon and total nitrogen and reports the nitrogen-to-carbon-to-phosphorus ratio. The specific product and amount come out of that result.

Dosage & Directions

Starting dosage: 0.1 ml per 100 litres of aquarium water per day.

• TRITON’s caveat is that the phosphate requirement is always individual. Increase the dose slowly rather than in steps.
• Verify with regular PO4 measurements. This is a parameter you can and should track at home between lab tests.
• An ICP-OES analysis is recommended for both the baseline and the monitoring, and dosing instructions appear under its Dosage tab.
• Phosphorus is powerful at low concentrations. The whole point of a 0.1 ml starting dose is that the correction is meant to be slow.

Pack Size

A 100 ml bottle of liquid supplement.

• At the 0.1 ml per 100 litres starting rate, 100 ml is a very long time in a typical system. This is a bottle you buy once and use sparingly.
• Doses this small need a syringe, not a cap (our advice, not TRITON’s).

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Backorder & Dispatch Timeline

This item is stocked to order. Back-orders are consolidated and placed with our overseas suppliers once a month, on the last day of the month, and all such orders are shipped before the 15th of the following month.

Back-orders cannot be cancelled once they have been placed with the supplier. If you cancel before that, payment-gateway charges of 2% plus GST are deducted and the balance refunded. In the rare case a supplier cannot fulfil the item, we will offer you an alternative first, and refund in full with no deduction if you would rather not take it.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
