Tropic Marin^® LIPO-GARLIC is a high quality blend of selected oils, containing polyunsaturated fatty acids from marine oils and garlic as an active ingredient.

Garlic has a demonstrably positive effect on bacterial diseases in fish and increases the attractiveness of the feed for many marine fish. Marine oils improve the food conversion in the fish, thus reducing the levels of nitrate and phosphate in the water. The highly unsaturated fatty acids contained in the oils are an essential part of the diet for fish and increase their resistance to stress.

LIPO-GARLIC is a complementary feed.

Feeding recommendations:

We recommend supplementing fish food with LIPO-GARLIC at 5-10 % of dry matter. This corresponds to the addition of 5 to 10 drops to a teaspoon (5 ml) of granulated food or one level tablespoon (15 ml) of frozen or flake food. Mix LIPO-GARLIC with the food and allow it to be completely absorbed.

Ingredients: fish oil 49.6%, cod liver oil 28.5%.

Additives: paprika oleoresin 6.6%, garlic oil 10%, soya lecithin 2.8%, palmity-L ascorbic acid 1.9%, vitamin E 0.3%, panthenyl ethyl ether 0.3%.

Analysis: 99% crude oils and lipids.

Calorific value: 38,900 kJ/kg.

Reading that list. This is essentially an oil — 99% crude oils and lipids — and that is the point of it. The two marine oils carry the highly unsaturated fatty acids; the additives are what each of the claimed benefits actually rests on:

• Garlic oil 10% — the active ingredient, and what makes the food attractive to fussy marine fish.
• Paprika oleoresin 6.6% — the carotenoid source behind the colour, spawning and hatching claims.
• Palmity-L ascorbic acid (a fat-soluble vitamin C) and vitamin E — the cell protection.
• Panthenyl ethyl ether — the pantothenic acid Tropic Marin credit with immune support and lower mortality in young fish.

Complementary feed. Lipo-Garlic is a supplement, not a food. It goes onto the food you already feed, and does not replace it.

Backorder & Dispatch Timeline

This item is stocked to order. Back-orders are consolidated and placed with our overseas suppliers once a month, on the last day of the month, and all such orders are shipped before the 15th of the following month.

Back-orders cannot be cancelled once they have been placed with the supplier. If you cancel before that, payment-gateway charges of 2% plus GST are deducted and the balance refunded. In the rare case a supplier cannot fulfil the item, we will offer you an alternative first, and refund in full with no deduction if you would rather not take it.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
