REEF ACTIF contains marine biopolymers which bind excess nutrients and other pollutants and lead to their decomposition via specialized microorganisms. This promotes a natural marine microbiology environment in the aquarium and keeps the water extremely clear. The activation of the microflora provides the water with numerous vitamins and other vital substances in a wholly natural manner. Corals and shells open better and display their full range of colors. Fishes, too, benefit from the stable bacteria flora and the probiotic effect; they become robust, displaying their vitality in the form of perfect coloration.

Compatibility

Marine aquariums. Reef Actif is a mixture of natural organic substances, predominantly marine biopolymers of algae and plants.

What it is for: holding water conditions steady between water changes. The biopolymers bind excess nutrients and other pollutants, and specialised marine microorganisms then break them down.

Dosing alongside other products. Tropic Marin state it can be used with all products of the Tropic Marin Bio-Actif System with no concern about overdosing organic substances, which is the usual worry when a carbon source and a biopolymer are running in the same tank.

With a skimmer: Tropic Marin list improved consistency and continuity of skimming as one of its effects, so it is designed to work with a skimmer rather than around one. They also note the nutrient breakdown is slow and does not consume the tank’s oxygen.

Alongside it: for further colour intensification of the corals Tropic Marin recommend their K+ Elements and A- Elements trace element solutions.

Dosage & Directions

Weekly dose: one level measuring spoon per 500 litres / 132 US gallons of aquarium water, once a week.

How to add it. Do not tip the powder straight into the tank. Stir it into a small amount of aquarium water first, then add that back, so it distributes as finely as possible.

Maximum: one measuring spoon per 500 litres, three times a week.

On a 500 litre system the standard dose is a single spoon a week, which is why a 60 g can lasts as long as it does.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Backorder & Dispatch Timeline

This item is stocked to order. Back-orders are consolidated and placed with our overseas suppliers once a month, on the last day of the month, and all such orders are shipped before the 15th of the following month.

Back-orders cannot be cancelled once they have been placed with the supplier. If you cancel before that, payment-gateway charges of 2% plus GST are deducted and the balance refunded. In the rare case a supplier cannot fulfil the item, we will offer you an alternative first, and refund in full with no deduction if you would rather not take it.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
