Compatibility

Iodine supports metabolic processes, macroalgae and SPS health, and TRITON single it out for the part it plays in fragging and healing. Natural seawater carries approximately 60 µg/L.

• Marine reef aquariums only. This is a seawater supplement and has no application in a freshwater tank.
• Runs alongside whatever supplies your calcium and alkalinity — Core7 Flex, TRITON Balling salts, a calcium reactor, two-part or kalkwasser. It corrects one element and contributes no calcium, alkalinity or magnesium of its own.
• TRITON place it at Basic skill level in their own classification of the range.
• Promotes tissue regeneration and faster repair after fragging, which reduces the window for infection. TRITON also credit it with a part in parasite control.
• TRITON’s fragging protocol: reduce iodine dosing for one week before you frag SPS, to lower the mucus response and the organic carbon load that comes with it, then resume dosing immediately after fragging to suppress bacterial infection.
• Supports the macroalgae in a refugium as well as the corals in the display.

This is not a supplement you dose on a schedule. TRITON publish no general dosing rate for it — the amount comes from the DOSE tab of your own ICP-OES analysis, which measures 45 parameters at parts-per-billion precision. Targeted single-element correction against a measured result is the whole method this range is built around.

Pack Size

A 100 ml bottle. TRITON list iodine in both 100 ml and 1,000 ml; the 100 ml is the pack on this page.

Measure it with a syringe rather than a bottle cap — our advice, not TRITON’s. The doses in this range are millilitres against hundreds of litres of water, and a cap is not an instrument.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Backorder & Dispatch Timeline

This item is stocked to order. Back-orders are consolidated and placed with our overseas suppliers once a month, on the last day of the month, and all such orders are shipped before the 15th of the following month.

Back-orders cannot be cancelled once they have been placed with the supplier. If you cancel before that, payment-gateway charges of 2% plus GST are deducted and the balance refunded. In the rare case a supplier cannot fulfil the item, we will offer you an alternative first, and refund in full with no deduction if you would rather not take it.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
