• Directions for use:

• Use 1 kg of Blue Treasure SPS Sea Salt mix with 28.5 liters (7.5 gallons) of deionized water until the salt has completely dissolved or take “35 grams” SPS sea salt dissolving in 1 liter of deionized water to make the synthetic sea water.
• At a temperature of 23-25 C / 73-77 F, the specific gravity of the saltwater should range from 1.024 to 1.026.

The new formula of Blue Treasure SPS Sea Salt is the result of years of research into the physiological demands of corals in the reef aquarium environment and the growth, breeding of other marine living organisms around the world.
It’s the ideal product for household saltwater aquarium tanks and other big aquariums.

The new formula of Blue Treasure SPS (Stone Coral) Sea Salt has been specially developed for the growth and breeding of SPS (Stone Coral), this new formulation has the required levels of calcium, magnesium, strontium and other essential trace elements of natural sea water.

In addition to this it also has more Ca, Mg, K and other trace minerals supplemented to keep enough essential element to keep alive and assist in breeding SPS.

It is produced using extremely strict manufacturing processes in accordance with ISO9001:2008 requirements.

Unlike other evaporated industrial salts, the sodium chloride of Blue Treasure Salt is purified from pure, non-polluted underground brine.

It is an exceedingly rare underground brine sources in the world, only found in the Bohai Bay and Huanghai Bay areas. This rich underground brine allows us to produce the finest quality sodium chloride to be found anywhere on Earth.

In addition to this, since 1966 The Ocean University of China research department has assisted Blue Treasure to utilize these natural resources and their scientific research allows us to supply the finest quality sea salt

The raw materials of all Blue Treasure synthetic sea salts are selected from pure, food grade materials and contain all the trace elements which are found in natural seawater. Other special vitamins and protective colloids are added to Blue Treasure Salt to improve the immune functions of living marine organisms.

The elements that make it an SPS salt. Blue Treasure lift three figures well above natural sea water, which is the entire argument for this formula over their standard Reef salt:

Stony corals consume calcium, magnesium and carbonate as they build skeleton, so a salt that mixes high on those three gives a growing SPS tank more headroom between water changes. If you are not running stony corals, you are paying for elements you will not use.

How much water changing it covers. One 6.7 kg bag makes about 190 litres. Blue Treasure recommend a weekly 10% water change, so on a 200 litre system that is 20 litres a week and a bag lasts roughly nine changes, about two months. On a 400 litre system, about a month.

Other sizes the manufacturer makes: a 3.35 kg bag (HZY001), a carton of three 6.7 kg bags totalling 20 kg (HZY002 carton), and a bucket of three 6.7 kg bags (HZY005). If you go through more than a bag a month, ask us about the multi-bag packs.

Where the salt comes from. Blue Treasure’s sodium chloride is purified from underground brine rather than evaporated from industrial salt, from the Bohai Bay and Huanghai Bay deposits. The formula was developed with the Ocean University of China. One correction to note: the manufacturer’s own text dates that collaboration to 1996, and our page has carried 1966.

What the certificate of analysis does not include. There is no figure published for nitrate, phosphate, ammonia or heavy-metal content, and no dissolution time. If a certified low-nutrient salt matters to you, and on an SPS tank it might, that is a question worth putting to us before you order rather than after.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Filter media and substrates carry no manufacturing or expiry date. Their working life begins on first contact with water, not on the shelf.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
