Product Instruction

• Thread the controller tightly on the CO2 cylinder, turn on the cylinder on-off valve. Make sure to thread contoller tightly with the cylinder, no CO2 leakage.
• Connect the controller with ISTA timer, which allows you to controll the time of CO2 output.
• To disassemble the controller, first, turn off the cylinder on-off valve tightly.
• Second, plug in the controller and turn on the adjustment valve in order to release the remaining CO2 inside. The controller can be disassembled from the cylinder until the pressure gauge shows zero.

Cautions

• Do not let controller get in touch with water, crash and fall down to the floor. Make sure the controller is set up straight.
• Do not use wrench or tools to disassemble the controller.
• Do not disassemble the controller from CO2 cylinder until the pressure gauge shows zero.

What ISTA do not publish for this model:

Those rows are simply not on ISTA's specification sheet or in their catalogue, and we would rather leave them blank than print a number we cannot source. If one of them decides your purchase, ask us and we will measure the stock item before you order.

One correction to ISTA's own copy. ISTA's product page for the I-643 carries a bullet reading ‘Dual gauge indicators show different pressure volume’. That sentence belongs to their I-580, which really does have two gauges; the I-643 is the single-gauge model, as the title of ISTA's own page says. We have taken the sentence off this listing rather than repeat it.

Compatibility

It fits ISTA face-up CO2 aluminium cylinders. That is the orientation this model is built for — the cylinder stands upright and the regulator sits on top of it. ISTA make a separate face-side range for cylinders that lie down or mount sideways, and the two are not interchangeable. Check which way your cylinder is meant to stand before you order.

The solenoid is the whole point, and a timer is what makes it worth having. ISTA's own instruction is to connect the controller to a timer, which gives you automatic CO2 injection: gas on an hour before the lights, off an hour before they go out. Without a timer you are turning a needle valve twice a day by hand, and plants respond to consistency more than to any particular bubble rate.

It works with ISTA's bubble counters and check valves. Their own range is designed around this outlet, including the 2-in-1 metal bubble counter and check valve, and the 2-in-1 diffusers that put the counter and the ceramic in one body.

Confirm the solenoid voltage with us before you order. The solenoid is a mains-powered valve and ISTA publish no operating voltage for it — not on the product page and not in the catalogue. That is a real gap for a device you are going to plug into an Indian socket and drive from a timer, so ask us and we will check the unit in stock rather than have you find out on the bench.

Not the same thing as the Vertical Pressure Reduced Regulator. ISTA sell an I-648 that looks similar and costs less, and the difference is the solenoid: the I-648 has none, so it cannot be switched by a timer. If automatic day/night CO2 is what you are buying for, this is the model that does it.

What's in the Box

That is the unit. There is no cylinder, no timer, no bubble counter and no CO2 hose in the carton — ISTA sell all of those separately, and a working CO2 setup needs at least a cylinder, a check valve and a diffuser alongside this.

ISTA publish no itemised scope of delivery for this product; the list above is assembled from their own product page and catalogue entry. If something is short in the carton, tell us inside the 7-day return window and we will sort it out.

Warranty & Support

This product is covered by warranty as per the manufacturer policy, against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.

Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first — most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
