WHAT IS REEF-ROIDS?:

DIRECTIONS:

For every 100 gallons of tank volume, mix one teaspoon of Reef-Roids with some water from your tank. For optimum results, use a syringe to target feed this mixture while tank circulation is off. Otherwise, disperse mixture directly into tank.

What that means on a reef. Sixty per cent protein and twenty per cent fat is a very rich food — roughly double the protein of a general-purpose fish flake — which is what you want when the target is a filter feeder taking particles out of the water rather than a fish eating a meal. The 6% moisture is the other half of the story: this is a dry powder, so it keeps, and it does not carry the water that makes frozen foods so dilute by weight.

The reason it is a powder and not a liquid. Polyp Lab formulate Reef-Roids specifically to minimise water degradation — the point of a particle food for corals is that the coral catches it, not that it dissolves and feeds your nitrate. That is also why the directions ask you to target feed with the flow off rather than pour it in.

What is actually in it. Polyp Lab describe Reef-Roids as a blend of naturally occurring marine planktons containing a species of zooplankton unique to their product. They do not name that species, and we are not going to guess at it. They aim the food at Goniopora, zoanthids, mushrooms and other filter-feeding corals, and cite independent research showing improved growth rates in Montipora capitata, Porites compressa and Pocillopora damicornis.

Pack Size

37 g net. That is Polyp Lab’s own published weight for the Nano pack, and it is the smallest of the three sizes they make.

The three sizes, and what they cost per gram here:

Nano — 37 g, about ₹45 per gram.
Regular — 75 g, about ₹34 per gram.
Professional — 150 g, about ₹29 per gram.

We stock all three. The Nano pack costs half again as much per gram as the Professional, so it earns its place in one of two situations: a genuinely small tank, or a first purchase where you want to find out whether your corals take it before committing to a larger pot.

How long it lasts. Polyp Lab’s dose is one teaspoon per 100 gallons (about 380 litres) of tank volume, but they publish no weight for a teaspoon of the powder, so we cannot honestly convert that into a number of feeds for you. What we can say is that it scales with your water volume and with how often you feed — a nano reef fed twice a week gets a long time out of 37 g.

Storage: keep it dry and sealed. At 6% moisture this is a dry powder and it will clump if it takes up water from the air, which in an Indian monsoon is a real risk — do not leave the pot open on a wet sump cabinet, and never dip a wet spoon into it.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
