Reef Foundation ABC is a blend of all of the corals foundation elements of coral skeletons: Calcium, magnesium, strontium & carbonate, with the addition of potassium, bromine and iodine in the unique ratio required by corals.

Marine and reef aquariums only. None of the Reef Care Program supplements belong in a freshwater tank.

Foundation ABC+ is the all-in-one: a single powder blending calcium, magnesium, strontium and carbonate, plus potassium, bromine and iodine, in the ratio Red Sea publish as the one corals consume them in.

That ratio is the point, and it is also the limit. ABC+ suits a tank whose three foundation parameters are in balance and simply falling together as the corals grow. If one parameter is out on its own — low magnesium with normal calcium, say — ABC+ cannot correct it, because it cannot move one without moving the other two. Use the separate Foundation A, B and C for that, then come back to ABC+ for maintenance.

Calcium, alkalinity and magnesium have to move together. Raising one on its own destabilises the other two, and a tank with high calcium and low alkalinity is worse off than one where both are simply low. Test all three before you change any of them.

Dosage & Directions

Dose it against measured calcium consumption: test, work out how much calcium the tank uses between tests, and replace that. The per-gram rates are printed on the tub and that is the figure to work from.

Red Sea’s whole programme is built on dosing to a measured requirement rather than to a schedule. Test first, work out what the tank is actually consuming, and dose that. Red Sea publish a MyRecipe calculator that does the arithmetic from your test results and tank volume.

Add the powder in stages rather than tipping a large dose in at once, letting each addition dissolve before the next. Undissolved powder sitting on the sand is what triggers precipitation and a white haze.

Dose into strong flow, away from corals, and never at the same moment as another supplement in the same spot.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
