Features
Ventilation slots
Ventilation slots in the lid of the filter and aeration grooves in the outflow ensure that water returned to the tank is fully oxygenated and maximize gas exchange during filtration.
Bottom-to-top flow
The pump pushes water up into the basket of the filter, entering through the bottom of the basket and being pushed out the top. A bottom-to-top flow ensures that water comes into contact will all filter media, and cannot go around or over filter media as with hang on back filters with a back-to-front flow.
Maintenance alert
Over time, filtration media can become clogged with detritus reducing or obstructing the flow of water through it. When this happens in Tidal filters, water is redirected around the filter and back into the aquarium through an outlet on the side. The redirected water pushes up the blue maintenance alert on the top of the filter, signaling that the filter needs to be cleaned.
Surface skimmer
The surface skimmer will capture the water from just below the surface, where excreted fish oils accumulate, as well as deeper in the tank removing floating debris
Telescoping intake pipe
The adjustable telescoping intake allows water to be taken from any level of the tank without the need to stop the filter or bother with spare parts
Flow regulation
The flow on the pump is adjustable using the dial on the front
Intake flow regulation
A dial on the side of the filter adjusts how much flow comes from the underwater intake versus the surface skimmer
No filter cartridges
The filter basket has a huge capacity to hold filtration media of your choice in the configuration of your choice. All Tidal Filters come with Seachem's Matrix bio-media to get you started.
No mess maintenance
The basket is fully removable and snaps into the lid of the filter for easy and drip-free transit to a sink or hose for cleaning.
Self-priming pump
Self-priming pump means there is no need to fill the filter basket with water, start a siphon, monitor the filter, or any of the other headaches of starting a new filter
Self-cleaning impeller
The self-cleaning, corrosion-resistant impeller is suited for both saltwater and freshwater environments. This cuts down on maintenance and makes the filter suitable for a wide range of environments.
Adjustable leveling device
A leveler on the base of the filter lets the filter adjust to a variety of aquarium styles
Heater holder
A heater can be attached to the side with an optional heater clip, allowing for better dispersal of heated water through the aquarium.
3 year warranty
All Tidal Filters are guaranteed against defects of materials and workmanship for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase, except for the pump’s impeller. This can be extended to 5 years by registering your filter. The warranty covers the replacement of the defective parts.

Specifications
Maximum flow 1700 litres per hour, adjustable down using the dial on the front of the pump. Rated by Seachem for aquariums up to 110 US gallons, approximately 416 litres. A second dial on the side sets how much flow is drawn from the underwater telescoping intake versus the surface skimmer.
What's in the Box
Tidal 110 filter unit with self-priming pump, removable filter basket, telescoping intake pipe, adjustable levelling device, and Seachem Matrix bio-media to start the filter off. The heater clip is an optional accessory and is not included.
Setup & Use
Hang the unit on the back rim of the aquarium and set the levelling device on the base so the filter sits square against the glass. The pump is self-priming, so there is no need to fill the basket or start a siphon — fill the aquarium to the correct level, plug in, and the filter will prime itself. Set the flow dial and the intake-versus-skimmer dial to suit your stocking.
When the blue maintenance alert on the lid rises, the media is clogged and water is bypassing it. Lift the basket out, rinse the media in old tank water, and reseat it. Rinsing bio-media in tap water will kill the bacterial colony.
Safety & Precautions
Mains-powered. Route the power cable in a drip loop so water cannot run down it to the socket, and unplug at the mains before removing the basket or servicing the pump. Do not run the pump dry.
Warranty & Support
Seachem guarantees Tidal filters against defects of materials and workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase, extendable to 5 years by registering the filter. The pump impeller is excluded.
Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first — most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.
Returns & Replacement
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.
If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
