The MicMol Pro Stand is a stable, space-saving mount purpose-built for rimless tanks in the G3 Aqua Air series.
For G3 Aqua Air Series 300, 600.
The Pro Stand is for rimless tanks only. It is stable without taking up much space.
Pro Stand S: 260*200*60mm
Width Coverage: 300~600mm (12~24″)
Rimless tanks only. That is MicMol’s restriction, not our
caution, and it is worth understanding rather than just obeying: the Pro Stand
is a free-standing base that sits behind the tank and reaches over the top,
so it needs a clear rim to reach across. On a rimmed or braced tank the light
lands on the frame instead of over the water. If your tank has a plastic rim,
MicMol’s Super Bracket — the mount that ships with the light as standard
— is the one designed for it.
This is the Small. MicMol build the Pro Stand in two
heights and publish them as Pro Stand S: 260 × 200
× 60 mm and Pro Stand L: 260 ×
200 × 120 mm. Same footprint, twice the third dimension
— so the L is the taller one, and this listing is the S. On a low
aquascape or a shallow tank the S puts the fixture where you want it; over a
tall tank or a raised hardscape, the extra height of the L is what stops the
light sitting in the scape.
Coverage, and a number we are not going to pretend is
unambiguous. MicMol publish a single coverage figure for this stand
— Width Coverage: 300–600 mm (12–24″)
— and they publish the same figure for the S and the L, whose
only stated difference is height. They do not say whether that 300–600
mm is the tank width it spans or the reach of the arm, and their own
Super Bracket coverage figures for these same lights are quoted on a different
basis again (295–550 mm for the Aqua Air 300,
585–1085 mm for the Aqua Air 600). If your fit is tight, message us
with your tank’s measurements before you order and we will measure the stand in
stock against them. That is a better answer than a confident sentence built on
a figure whose basis the manufacturer never states.
What it mounts. The G3 Aqua Air series,
which MicMol list as the Pro Stand’s application. This listing is sold against
the Aqua Air 300 (265 × 128 × 15 mm,
2.0 kg) and the Aqua Air 600 (565 × 128 ×
15 mm, 2.5 kg). MicMol publish no load rating for the stand
itself.
Assembly and cable. MicMol’s G3 Aqua Air manual carries
the Pro Stand fitting as an optional two-step sequence, drawn rather than
written, and the one instruction it prints in words is
“put cable inside” — the stand is made to route the
light’s lead down through it rather than have it hang across the back of the
tank. Do that while you are assembling it; threading a cable through an
already-mounted stand is a much less pleasant job.
Standing it. Put it on the surface the tank sits on, or on
the cabinet directly behind it, not on a shelf that flexes. It is a
counterweighted base holding a light over water, so give it a flat, dry, level
spot and check that nothing can be pulled against the cable. Then set the
height so the fixture clears the tank’s edge and shines down the water rather
than across it.
Handling, from MicMol’s own instructions: never put the
light or the smart controller in water; mount the power supply where it cannot
get wet and leave a drip loop in the cord below the level of
the socket, so anything running down the cable drips off rather than into the
outlet; never force a connector into a port; and shut the light down and
disconnect it before you move it. Clean with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth
— no sprays, solvents or abrasives, and no moisture into the
openings.
MicMol publish no packing list for the Pro Stand. Their
accessories page gives the two sizes, the coverage figure and the rimless-tank
restriction, and their manual shows the assembly as a drawing. So what we can
tell you honestly is this:
What is not included:
If it arrives bent, scratched or short of a part, photograph it in the
packaging before going further and message us — MicMol’s own warranty
excludes physical damage and damage from improper installation or transport,
so the photograph taken before anything is fitted is what a claim rests
on.
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.
If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
