Setup & Use

What it fits. MicMol list this kit for the G2 Aqua Air and G3 Aqua Air series. It is not the THOR kit — MicMol make a separate THOR & X Hanging Kit, and the two are not interchangeable even though both use 150 cm stainless wire.

Fitting, in MicMol's order:

1. With the light unplugged, use the supplied screwdriver to take the two blanking screws out of the fixture and fit the eyelets in their place, one toward each end.
2. Fix the two ceiling mounts, using the supplied screws and plugs, at a spacing that matches the eyelets on the light.
3. Clip the ring ends of each bridle onto the eyelets, so each wire carries one end of the fixture on two legs.
4. Level the light and set the height using the locking adjuster on each wire.

Fix into something solid. The plugs supplied suit masonry or concrete. If you are fixing into plasterboard, a false ceiling or a wooden batten, use the correct anchor for that material instead — the whole fixture and its cable hang from these two points, over water and usually over furniture.

Setting the height. Hanging is the reason to buy this rather than a stand: it takes the mount off the tank entirely, so you can lift the light for maintenance and set the distance from the water to suit your plants or corals. Raising the fixture widens the pool of light and reduces intensity at the substrate; lowering it does the reverse.

Cable management. Support the light's power lead along the suspension wire rather than letting it hang under its own weight, and keep a drip loop in the cord below the level of the socket. Never let the power cord run down into the tank.

What's in the Box

A pair of suspension assemblies, each one a ceiling mount with a stainless steel wire rope running down to a locking adjuster, which then splits into a short two-leg bridle with ring ends that clip to the light. Wire length: 150 cm (60 in).

Ceiling fixings — screws with wall plugs — and a screwdriver, which MicMol include for removing the blanking screws from the fixture and fitting the eyelets the bridle hooks onto.

No light is included. This is the suspension hardware only.

MicMol do not print a numbered parts list; the above is read from the contents drawing in their G3 Aqua Air manual, which shows two complete wire assemblies, a screwdriver and a strip of screws and plugs.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
