Composition, as Tetra publish it. Derivatives of
vegetable origin, fish and fish derivatives, vegetable protein extracts,
cereals, yeasts, molluscs and crustaceans, oils and fats, minerals.

Analytical constituents:

• Crude protein — 33%
• Crude fat — 5.5%
• Crude fibre — 2%
• Moisture — 7%

Additives. Vitamin D3 at
1,720 IU/kg. Tetra’s European page also lists an
acidity regulator, citric acid at 274 mg/kg; their
rest-of-world page for the same product lists the vitamin and not the acid.
Same figures for everything else on both pages.

What 33% protein means in a pond. It is a staple level,
not a grow-on level — enough for daily feeding through the warm months
rather than a high-protein conditioning food. The 2% fibre and the fast-
soaking stick are what Tetra point at for digestibility, and undigested food
is what ends up in your water as ammonia and then nitrate.

The colour claim and what sits behind it. Tetra credit
the reds, yellows and oranges to high-quality natural carotenoids. They do
not name which carotenoids, and they do not publish an inclusion level for
them, so there is no figure here to compare against another food.

Not published: crude ash, any per-ingredient percentage,
the stick’s diameter or length, and a shelf life for an unopened bag.

Feeding Guide

What it is. A complete staple food for daily feeding of
all koi, in a floating stick that soaks quickly. Floating matters more than
it sounds: you can see every stick, so you can see exactly how much went
uneaten and net it out.

Tetra publish no feeding rate for this food. No grams, no
number of feeds, no minutes — not on the product page and not in the
range copy. The quantity printed on the bag you receive is the instruction to
follow, and we would rather say that than invent a number.

What Tetra do publish is a temperature rule, and for a
pond it is the more important one:

• Above about 10 °C — feed a high-energy
  koi food such as this one. This is the range koi actually digest in.
• As the water falls towards 10 °C — Tetra
  say to switch to an easy-to-digest wheatgerm food, because digestion slows
  before appetite does.
• Below that, through a cold spell — feed minimally,
  and only on the warmer days when the fish come up of their own accord. If
  they stay on the bottom and stop coming to the surface, Tetra say to stop
  feeding entirely.

In warm weather, watch the amount rather than the fish.
Tetra’s own warning is that koi rarely show that they are full and are
perfectly capable of overeating. In an Indian summer pond, with the water
warm and the fish at full metabolism, it is quantity rather than appetite
that has to be managed.

Uneaten food is a water-quality problem before it is a waste of

Pack Size

This listing is the 4 litre bag. Tetra publish its
weight as 650 g. Pond sticks are light, so read the
litres as volume: 4 litres of this food is well under a kilogram, and
that is the figure to use when you are comparing it against a koi food priced
by weight.

The bag reseals. Tetra build this pack to close again
after opening specifically to keep sunlight, air and damp off the food, which
is what protects the vitamins in it. Use the seal rather than decanting into
an open tub.

Not published: the bag’s dimensions, how long an opened

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
